Chasing Hope and The Good Ground at Screenwriter / Motion Pictures and Film industry
I am currently marketing these two Screenplays. I am also looking for actor/director attachment and someone who can help me move the screenplay "Chasing Hope". If you are seriously interested send me a request and I will send you a pdf of my screenplay.
Brief Log and Synopsis below for Chasing Hope
CHASING HOPE An urban teen journeys to the Deep South and discovers a family history of secrets, forbidden love and murder.
Synopsis: Rocked by the recent death of her mother and after finding a captivating old photo of an unknown black girl, Jamena Davis leaves her privileged city life behind in New York for the sticks and swelt of Tennessee.
Jamena wants answers! Her mother died a cancer stricken alcoholic who was cut off from her family at a place called Buckabee, Tennessee. She tracks down an elderly aunt, who although reluctantly helps her fit some pieces together, Jamena has to do most of her detective work on her own.
Jamena discovers the pain of her mother’s past rests in the face of the unknown girl in the photo who turns out to be Jamena’s grandmother, Samantha “Sami” Tilman. Jamena finds that her grandmother was a Civil Rights pioneer of sorts who stood with an organized group of people against hate groups. It also doesn’t take Jamena long to realize something terrible happened to her grandmother all those years ago. Fifty years of forgotten and wanted to be forgotten history vividly rushes to life as Jamena stumbles upon an unsolved murder mystery.
A time in American history unravels on the cusp of the tumultuous 1960,’s where everything was about making a statement and standing for what one believed in. A time where the air crackled with restlessness and a hunger for change pulsated in the hearts of those who desperately needed it. A time where a privileged young man Robert “Bobby” Cheston dared to stand with and love a young woman who was deemed the enemy by a father wrapped in the sheets of hatred.
In a small American town that didn’t want to let go of traditions and the fist of power was held by a select few, love came at a high price.
Jamena discovers her family is not on one side of the barrier but both sides as the brave union of her grandparents produces a life and destroys a life on the same cold winter night… Chasing Hope

I've always had a passion and appreciation for writing and the written word, whatever capacity, as long as it's literature of some kind. My running joke is that I already know what my job will be in Heaven, I will be a Scribe of some sort, preferable in the entertainment arena.
I've penned one book to my credit..."The Quiet Strength Within." I'm working on my second book "The Good Ground" to which I've also adapted a screenplay from with the same title. I write for two online magazines, EEW Magazine and Emerging Minds Magazine.
My writing seems to reflect my attraction to that which is diverse, multicultural, and what society says is opposites. My goal is to try to merge that which is opposite and make something beautiful without losing the integrity of those opposites.
Specialties:Writer/Author. Degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice (I believe that in order to be a great writer you must understand the Psychology of the Human mind, the dark side as well as the light side. My studies have helped me tremendously with my writing career.) I also believe in Humanitarianism...I have worked with Youth for the better part of my Adult life for the State of Missouri's Department of Social Services.
